Open in Whatsapp (Oiwa Bot) is a simple utility bot that turns any phone number into a direct WhatsApp chat link. It focuses on one task: starting a conversation without saving the number to your contacts.
Send the bot a phone number, and it returns a URL that opens a WhatsApp chat with that number. The link works for temporary or one-off conversations, such as delivery drivers, marketplace sellers, or new contacts you do not plan to store.
The bot is useful when you want to keep your address book clean while still communicating via WhatsApp. It reduces friction: no need to create and later delete contacts just to send a single message.
Oiwa Bot is an open-source project created for fun. The source code is available on GitHub, which makes it transparent, easy to inspect, and suitable as a reference or base for similar tools.
