PSXTG is an experimental Telegram mini app that runs original PSone games directly inside the messenger. The project is created by a member of the DosZone team and demonstrates how classic console titles can be embedded into Telegram without separate emulator installation.
The mini app provides a PS1 emulation environment accessible from a regular Telegram chat. Rendering and input are handled in the mini app window, while all interaction stays within Telegram’s interface. It is primarily a technology showcase rather than a full-scale gaming platform.
The developer explicitly warns about performance constraints on mobile devices: users are advised to disable power saving mode on their smartphones to reduce lags and frame drops during gameplay. This reflects the resource-intensive nature of real-time emulation in a browser-like environment.
PSXTG targets retro gaming enthusiasts, emulator developers, and engineers interested in running legacy console software in modern chat platforms. It can be useful as a reference for studying performance, compatibility and UX limitations of console emulation inside Telegram.
